Job Summary
Full-time LVT in AMC’s Rehab department performing rehabilitation treatments (exercising, massage, hot/cold packing, tub/treadmill treatments, ultrasound, hot/cold therapy, laser treatments and acupuncture). Responsible for discharge assessments, professional communication with clients and referral veterinarians, maintaining treatment records and charges, assisting in planning and tailoring rehabilitation plans, and maintaining department cleanliness. Includes ordering stock, supporting orderly operations, and participation in continuing education and mentorship opportunities; weekend/holiday hours required. Required Qualifications
- NYS Veterinary Technician’s license (or permit)
- Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend or kneel for extended periods while helping with patient restraint
- Must be able to work successfully as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Follow detailed directions and established protocols
- Electronic medical record experience preferred
- Must have flexibility to work weekends, holidays and additional hours as needed
- CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) CCRVT (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician) or CCRA (Certified Canine Rehabilitation assistant)
