Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under RN/physician supervision, evaluate outcomes, and assist with routine examinations and treatments while maintaining regulatory policies. Communicate patient clinical conditions and diagnostic results to physicians and team members, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs with respect. Perform technical procedures requiring manual skills and notify licensed personnel of patient pain complaints to optimize safety. Support the overall effectiveness of the department in accordance with Curry Health Network's mission, vision, and shared values.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant through the National Healthcareers Association (CCMA)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in written form
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to hear alarms on equipment, patient call and instructions
- Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- Six months or more Medical Assistance experience
