Job Summary
CCMA - Butler County Family Care requires a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to support clinical exams, take vital signs, assist with procedures, perform point-of-care testing, administer medications and injections, conduct EKGs, manage patient records in the EMR, schedule appointments, and assist with billing/coding. The role demands patient-centered care, effective communication with physicians and patients, and ability to work in a clinical setting with adherence to HIPAA, safety protocols, and continuing education for certification, with responsibilities including specimen handling, labeling, and potential cross-training coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification
- BLS provider status at hire or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and the public
- Basic keyboarding and computer skills
- Experience navigating electronic medical records (EMR) strongly preferred
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
