Job Summary
Facilitate health care services for patients by providing telehealth services including telephone triage, health information, education, and physician referral lines. Utilize the nursing process to coordinate patient assessment, education, and triage while managing emergent situations and making patient assignments based on staff competencies. Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate care, resolve conflicts, and serve as a mentor to staff. Provide feedback to the health care team and participate in departmental committees and the Peer Review Process. Maintain full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to state licensure standards and Sanford Health protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment into position
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network and Rapid City. Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
