Job Summary
Master’s-level 4-H Youth Development Resource Educator focused on Seneca County. Develops and delivers innovative, research-based youth programs for youth, families, and communities; identifies community needs, incorporates youth voice, and leads projects across clubs, school enrichment, after-school programs, special interest groups, and events. Responsibilities include program planning, organization, leadership, and evaluation; collaboration with volunteers, schools, staff, and partners; reporting and representation to audiences; and engagement in district/state teams. Requires travel, strong English communication, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to diverse communities. Strong emphasis on development and delivery of educational lessons, program assessment, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Youth Development, Education, Agriculture or related discipline

- Experience of collaborating with schools, teachers and support staff
- Ability to clearly communicate (speak, read, and write proficiently) in English
- Ability to meet frequent travel requirements associated with this position

- Ability and willingness to collaborate with diverse audiences and maintain cultural sensitivity
- Experience with Windows-based software including use of the Internet and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to host meetings or classes via Zoom
- Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and tactfully through verbal, written and electronic methods
- Ability and willingness to work with a high degree of integrity, accuracy, organization, sound professional judgment, and the ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
- Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, requirements, and priorities to complete work in a timely manner and within established deadlines
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and present effective and relevant educational lessons to target audiences in group settings, and work with diverse audiences of youth and adult volunteers
- Ability to work independently and to effectively participate in professional team efforts
- Commitment to working with diverse program participants and the community-based agencies that serve them
- Comfortable engaging partners and collaborators in working toward long range goals
- Ability to work in a typical work environment which may include lifting, moving, and/or transporting office supplies, work-related materials, and equipment up to twenty pounds with or without accommodation
