Job Summary
CBRF Cook for Wellington Place at Fort Atkinson: full-time kitchen role in a 20-bed assisted-living facility serving seniors. Plan, organize, and manage the kitchen to ensure consistent delivery of nutritious, attractive meals; prepare meals per planned menus; maintain cleanliness of food production and service areas; collaborate with care staff to meet residents’ dietary needs; ensure compliance with state sanitation codes and DHS Wisconsin rules. Shift is 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with competitive wage ($16.00/hour) and comprehensive benefits; duties include menu planning a month in advance, inventory management, cost control, and ensuring timely, appealing meals for residents. The role requires lifting capacity, health-and-safety knowledge, and English literacy.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to prepare and serve a wide range of foods skillfully
- A working knowledge of health and safety rules related to food preparation and Wisconsin DHS regulations
- Lift 30 pounds, occasionally more than 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods
- Able to communicate verbally and read/write English
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school degree or GED, with some experience in preparing meals for large groups
