Job Summary
Operate injectors and tumblers safely in the Ready-to-Eat and Seasoning departments while weighing ingredients, setting up machines, and adjusting speed or temperature to maintain product consistency. Correct equipment errors like film jams, perform daily safety inspections, and troubleshoot minor malfunctions to minimize downtime. Assist with line direction, complete mandatory paperwork and production checks, and identify recurring mechanical issues for long-term improvements. Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices and USDA guidelines, reporting any food safety problems immediately. Stand 8–10 hours per day in cold, damp environments while lifting up to 50 pounds. Work minimum 40 hours weekly with flexibility for overtime, first or second shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to legally work in the United States
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must have mechanical abilities
- Must be able to work in temperatures below 40 degrees
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to push and pull items in excess of 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Able to grip and grasp small objects repeatedly
- Able to work in a cold, damp environment
- Able to stand 8-10 hours per day
- Able to bend, twist, and stoop on an occasional basis
- Must have good hand and eye coordination
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 or more hours per week
- Must be flexible and able to work as needed, first or second shift
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is preferred
- 1-2 years related work experience is preferred
- Knowledge of GMP and USDA regulations preferred
