Job Summary

Manage the use, maintenance, and technical support of databases for cash-based interventions, including troubleshooting issues and developing improvements to workflows. Generate statistical reports, prepare accurate beneficiary lists for the ATM/IRIS system, and assist in monthly reconciliation and refund processes. Cross-check databases to ensure all beneficiaries are active cases, keep cash lists updated, and monitor cash projects through field visits to bank service providers. Coordinate with partners and internal stakeholders to facilitate information flow, represent UNHCR at cash-assistance meetings, and train staff on database usage. Inform supervisors of reports regarding vulnerable cases and raise risks or concerns impacting objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years relevant work experience
  • Bachelor or equivalent or higher
  • Previous data management experience
  • Experience in CBI context
  • Excellent knowledge of computer software and database applications
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or later)
  • Knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of UN working language of the duty station if not English
  • Knowledge of local language
  • No tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment including sexual harassment, sexism, gender inequality, discrimination and abuse of power

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of UNHCR programmes and activities
  • Experience in cash-based interventions, particularly in a refugee response context
  • Working experience in C# and ASP.net
  • Working experience with statistical software such as R, Python, Stata etc.
  • Solutions-oriented and detail-focused professional
  • Solid experience in data management, database administration and operational support to Cash-Based Interventions
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian assistance processes, beneficiary data management, financial assistance workflows and data protection standards
  • Experienced in managing and supporting databases for cash assistance programs
  • Maintaining accurate beneficiary records
  • Supporting reconciliation, refund, and financial reporting processes
  • Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and database quality control
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies, resolve database issues, and improve workflows
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and data analysis tools
  • Able to collaborate effectively with partners, financial service providers, authorities, and internal teams
  • Knowledgeable in data protection and compliance standards
  • Capable of supporting training on database management, reporting requirements, and data quality practices
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and technological skills
  • Demonstrate accountability, client and results orientation, teamwork and collaboration, planning
