Job Summary
Load bulk meat logs into slicers, perform random re-weight checks, and inspect product for quality and foreign material contamination. Place sliced meat into packaging, reject non-compliant items, and ensure boxes are filled per specifications. Stack completed boxes on pallets with proper configuration, maintain sanitary areas, and inspect equipment. Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned. This role supports Kingsford, LLC and Old Wisconsin divisions within a family-owned meat manufacturing company.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to load bulk meat logs into meat slicer at required production frequency levels
- Must be able to perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product
- Must be able to review and inspect product
- Must be able to place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging
- Must be able to reject meat product that does not meet specifications
- Must be able to place required number of packages into box
- Must be able to inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute
- Must be able to ensure that boxes are filled per required levels
- Must be able to place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration
- Must be able to place empty pallet into position for proper stocking
- Must be able to maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- Must be able to inspect equipment for sanitary conditions
- Must be able to inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination
- Must be able to contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed
- Must have a safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees
