Job Summary
Supervise maintenance and heavy equipment operator personnel to coordinate daily work activities, ensuring safe execution and operational efficiency. Organize and monitor maintenance performance to minimize downtime while utilizing CMMS tools to manage work orders and reporting. Assign tasks based on employee qualifications, lead crew planning and safety meetings, and facilitate hazard assessments and safe work practices. Identify risks, implement controls, and participate in incident investigations to maintain compliance with site procedures and safety standards. Report attendance or performance issues to management and refer employees to appropriate stewards. This rotational schedule involves two weeks on and two weeks off with 12-hour shifts, including an LOA allowance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating all on-site equipment (Forklift (any), Skid Steer, Bobcat, Loader, Rock Truck, Backhoe, Excavator, Dozer, Grader.) and auxiliary equipment
- Having an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Ticket
- Rigging, lifting, hoisting certificate prerequisites
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Computer proficiency including experience with CMMS applications, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and related software products
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, assign work, and hold employees accountable for safe work practices
- Strong hazard recognition, risk assessment, incident management, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic field environment
- Commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift 25 kg

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Planning or Supervisory role
- Supervisory experience with a unionized workforce
- Experience supervising a multidisciplinary crew
- Background or education in the Mechanic/Millwright field
- Completion of First Line Leadership training or equivalent supervisory leadership training
- LSE training or equivalent leadership and safety excellence training
