Job Summary
Logs and Records Technician responsible for accurate data entry in aircraft maintenance logs and records, updating databases with aircraft/engine information, and providing reports to maintenance, logistics, and customer personnel. Requires working knowledge of automated data processing, Navy directive system, and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2. Duties include maintaining historical data/files for aircraft, support equipment, engines, and equipment; preparing AIRs and TD compliance materials; verifying configuration and maintenance information; assisting in monthly maintenance planning; and complying with safety and hazardous waste rules. Must communicate clearly with military and company personnel and be able to work day, night, or weekend shifts and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team or detachment as required. Requires two years of relevant experience, ability to obtain secret clearance, US citizenship, and HS diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in operation of records and reports (within last five years)
- Experience establishing procedures and files for operation of records and reports including aircraft logs and records
- Must have completed approved course or training as required by Company/State/Local Govt/DOD
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance
- Must be a US citizen and completed high school or equivalent
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English
