Job Summary
Inspect hydraulic systems, structural components, and airframes; perform repairs, modifications, installation, and reinstallation; fabricate parts and templates; troubleshoot and service aircraft to ensure airworthiness; set up and operate shop tools and equipment for hydraulic/structural maintenance; develop and determine repair requirements, including fastener and material selections; perform weight and balance data configurations; document maintenance actions in applicable forms and records; maintain housekeeping and safety; pursue Plane Captain certification as directed; on-site duties including shift rotations and potential travel as required; requires FAA Airframe & Powerplant experience, ability to obtain secret clearance, and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Three years experience in aircraft maintenance; last two years as a practicing licensed FAA airframe and powerplants mechanic; in the military, civil service (WG-7-10), or with a government aviation maintenance contractor
- Successful completion of approved course or training as required by Company/Regulations
- Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention
- Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance
- Must be a US citizen and completed high school or equivalent
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to become Plane Captain certified as directed
- Must be able to pass physical demands and safety requirements
