Job Summary
Aircraft Mechanic for the Air Force C-12 program at Andrews AFB/Milllersville, MD. Responsible for inspecting and certifying aircraft, troubleshooting system malfunctions, documenting maintenance, removing/replacing components, servicing ground support equipment, performing preflight and post-flight inspections, maintaining aircraft logbooks, complying with safety and regulatory directives, and providing on-the-job training. Requires HS diploma or GED, two years of related aircraft maintenance experience, and an A&P license; ability to travel worldwide and obtain security clearance, passport, and/or visa. Includes work with FAA and OEM directives, knowledge of aircraft sheet metal repair, electronic/instrument systems, and relevant maintenance equipment; strong safety, communication, and documentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) AND two (2) years of experience in work directly related to aircraft maintenance.
- A & P License
- Sufficient aviation maintenance hand tools to perform routine Airframe and Powerplant duties.
