Job Summary
Lead mechanical maintenance technician role responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing manufacturing equipment; performs maintenance, participates in major plant turnarounds, may lead in-house technicians and contractors; collaborates with Maintenance Supervisor; maintains records of maintenance activity and spare parts inventory; participates in safety meetings; flexible with shift work and after-hours as needed; requires vocational/technical training and completed apprenticeship; 3-5 years of experience; proficient in reading blueprints/diagrams and using shop power tools.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/technical, mechanical school and completed apprenticeship required
- 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams; ability to use shop power tools
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Flexibility to work off shift and after hours as needed
- Lead responsibilities in special events such as major turnarounds; may lead a group of maintenance technicians and/or outside contractors
- Knowledge of manufacturing machines and tools and their design/uses
