Job Summary
Conduct routine tests and analyses of product or feedstock samples to determine quality and reliability during manufacturing or product development. Test for quality, performance, and chemical characteristics using established test scripts and documentation. Report results accurately and timely, determining compliance with Quality standards and Cabot or customer requests. Reject or release product to inventory per established QC plans, while setting up tests and equipment as needed. Ensure test equipment is calibrated properly and in safe operating condition, entering work orders and requisitions into systems. Compile test results and participate in scheduled safety meetings and training requirements. Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining manual dexterity and attention to detail while troubleshooting issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School
- Familiar with analytical techniques
- Chemistry and math coursework or vocational training
- 1-3 years related experience
- Ability to use testing tools and equipment
- Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Statistical Control principles
- Manual dexterity
- Accuracy
- Attention to details
- Ability to read and interpret operating instructions
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment
- Excellent organization skills
- Flexibility in performing changing assignments and work schedules
