Job Summary
CAU Case Navigator within NYC Health Department's Bureau of Vital Statistics, providing high-quality customer support, guiding amendment processes (AOP, transgender amendments, court orders, delayed registrations, adoptions, filiations), acting as Deputy City Registrar to approve applications, aiding in process improvements, testing IT systems, managing secure paper usage, assisting in customer lobby, and supporting continuity of operations; opportunities for remote work up to two days/week depending on position; benefits including health insurance and pension; mission-driven public health context.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
- Associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in above; or
- Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in above; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to above with one year of administrative/supervisory experience as described; education above high school level may substitute for experience at some rate
