Job Summary
Conduct detailed commercial walkout surveys to define routes from the existing plant to the customer, documenting construction requirements for aerial and underground telecommunications including fiber, coax, poles, and pedestals. Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications while obtaining field information, verifying records, and noting construction types along the proposed route. Perform daily field assignments over varying terrain and in all weather conditions, working independently with minimal supervision. Must have a valid driver's license, be willing to travel 100%, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. Company vehicle, tools, and hotel expenses are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Survey experience
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Willingness to travel 100%
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of cable mapping experience
- Knowledge of cable design and OSP basic construction practices of cable systems
- Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams associated with CATV projects
- Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills
- Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, & PDF Editor
- Ability to learn new software and technologies
- Ability to draw digitally in software programs like Bluebeam
- High responsibility
- Self-motivation
- Ability to work independently within minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
