The role requires staying informed on market conditions and cattle supply, maintaining close communication with upper management, scale house coordinators, and suppliers regarding cattle trade, transport, and harvest. The position is designed to prepare the individual to manage an own territory as a Senior Cattle Buyer; travel 70%+ and relocation within 30 miles of Joslin, IL are expected. Strong mathematical abilities and excellent verbal/written communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred or equivalent
- Cattle livestock experience required
