Job Summary
Design and develop interior plastic trim parts (IP, door trims, consoles, pillars, garnish, bezels) and interpret surface data to convert into feasible plastic designs. Ensure DFM/DFA/DFMEA compliance, select materials (ABS, PP, PC-ABS, TPO), coordinate with tooling, manufacturing, and suppliers, review mold feasibility and part features, support prototypes and production ramp-up, resolve fit/finish/gap/warpage issues, participate in design reviews and change management, and maintain engineering docs and BOMs. Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, understanding of injection molding, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, APQP, and cross-functional collaboration are required.
