Job Summary
Conduct music and accompaniment support for Catholic Mass services at Eglin AFB, including daily performances at 0800 and 1100 hours and weekly rehearsals. Collaborate with the Chaplain and Catholic Music Director to perform special music for holy days and ad-hoc events, arriving 30 minutes prior to each service for set-up and warm-up. Manage equipment logistics by ensuring instruments, music stands, and microphones are properly set up and secured before and after services while maintaining proper care of all gear. This part-time 1099 contractor role requires a Bachelor's degree in music or four years of worship experience, with compensation based on budget and qualifications. Required Qualifications
- 1099 contractor status with Music Ministry International
- Bachelor's degree in music
- Minimum of four years' experience playing for worship services with an emphasis on Catholic worship music
- Working knowledge of worship music used in Catholic worship settings and other religious services
- Ability to learn and play new songs
- Ability to read, play and perform music or accompaniment on both the organ and piano
- Pass a background check
- Compliance with Air Force standards and regulations
- Provide three references from individuals who can attest to the candidate's good work and steadiness
- One reference must be a priest or pastor who can attest to the candidate's abilities as they relate to this job posting
