Job Summary
Cathodic Protection Technician needed to conduct specialized CP surveys and troubleshooting on complex industrial environments with focus on nuclear-related clients. Responsibilities include field CP testing, data analysis and defensible reporting, support for CP system design/installation/maintenance, proposal input, and potential representation at industry meetings. Independent drafting of client-ready technical reports is highly valued. Candidate must relocate to the Denver metro area; role is field-forward with hybrid scheduling and significant travel. Preferred: CP Level III or CP Specialist, engineering degree, experience at nuclear/fossil/hydro sites, leadership of multi-discipline field projects, CP data-management familiarity, and programming skills (Python/LabVIEW). Safety-first mindset and strong communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- AMPP (formerly NACE) CP Level II certification at hire or equivalent demonstrable experience
- 2+ years of field CP testing and troubleshooting; 5+ years strongly preferred
- CP experience in plant, station, terminal, or other complex industrial environments
- Ability to plan and execute field assignments independently, including writing/testing procedures for site-specific conditions
- Strong oral and written communication; direct client interface and production of formal deliverables
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills
- Safety-conscious with adherence to formal procedure-use and error-prevention tools
- Self-starter with ability to manage own schedule across multiple concurrent assignments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- Project management experience
- Travel 40-60%
