Job Summary
Scrubs, monitors, and circulates in all invasive procedures in the Cath lab, assisting physicians with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care. Performs pre, intra, and post procedure assessments, develops individualized plans of care, and executes x-ray for desired views while managing patient priorities. Assists with inventory control, sets up and monitors IABP/Impella, and manages temporary or permanent pacemaker insertion and care. Functions effectively on all cardiac alerts and STEMI cases, providing teaching and guidance to patients, families, and staff. Requires BLS and ACLS certification within six months of hire, with a background in radiology or cardiovascular technology.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of formal program in Radiology, Cardiovascular technology or equivalent
- Basic EKG course
- 6 months in Cath Lab/Cardiac Intervention Lab
- BLS
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience providing cardiac cath, radiology care
- ARRT or CVT or RCIS certification
