Job Summary
Perform invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease while utilizing Cardiac, Vascular, and EP experience systems such as XPER/CUPID, GE, Siemens, and Phillips XR. Maintain thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and pharmacologic options impacting exercise performance and diagnostic tests. Work alongside physicians and nurses to deliver top-quality care to diverse populations including children and geriatrics. No weekends, holidays, or overnights required; shift runs 6:00am to 4:30pm with no call on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology
- Equivalent experience to Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology
- Expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology
- Knowledge of pharmacology
- Knowledge of advanced cardiac rhythm management
- Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy
- Thorough understanding of physiology
- Thorough understanding of hemodynamic principles
- Thorough understanding of X-ray techniques
- Thorough understanding of emergent cardiac care
- Thorough understanding of routine cardiac care
- Knowledge of pharmacologic options for treatment
- Knowledge of the impact of pharmacologic options on exercise performance
- Knowledge of the impact of pharmacologic options on hemodynamic and diagnostic tests
- Experience with Cardiac, Vascular and EP systems
- Experience with XPER/CUPID/GE systems
- Experience with Siemens XR systems
- Experience with Phillips XR systems
- Ability to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire (location dependent)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if applicable to position
- Ability to work weekends
