Job Summary
Perform pre-procedure patient preparation, assist physicians during cath procedures under fluoroscopy, and manage post-cath patient care and hemostasis. Transport patients to and from the Cath Lab while addressing their physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Requires direct patient care experience, completion of the St. Francis Hospital Patient Care Associate or Cardiac Catheterization Lab Training and scrub program, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center, recognized nationally for Cardiology & Heart Surgery and Gastroenterology & GI Surgery.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED
- Direct patient care experience
- Completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of St. Francis Hospital Patient Care Associate or Cardiac Catheterization Lab Training and scrub Program
