Job Summary
Conduct pre-procedure assessments, medication reconciliation, and site preparation for diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, and peripheral interventions. Circulate and monitor patients intra-procedure, managing hemodynamics, cardiac rhythm, and conscious sedation while operating emergency equipment. Perform post-procedure recovery, assess access sites, manage sheath removal, and provide discharge education. Ensure compliance with CMS ASC Conditions for Coverage, infection control standards, and patient safety regulations throughout the care continuum.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Pennsylvania or Multi-state)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Hemodynamic monitoring proficiency
- Knowledge of anticoagulants and antiplatelets
- Knowledge of contrast safety protocols
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles
- Ability to respond to emergencies until transfer if needed
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to wear lead apron during procedures
- Ability to lift and transfer patients as needed
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years critical care or cath lab experience
- Moderate sedation training
- Moderate sedation competency validation
