Job Summary
Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, including pre-procedure assessment and preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-procedure care. Ensure all safety and infection control protocols are followed while prioritizing tasks and multitasking independently or as part of a team. Interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Requires current Texas RN licensure, BSN degree, and 2+ years of cardiac critical care experience. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a Cath Lab setting
- Current nursing license in good standing
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas
- 2+ years of experience working with cardiac patients (i.e. Telemetry area, C.C.U.), and/or in a critical care setting (Emergency Department, Surgical/Medical Intensive Care)
- Recent acute care experience (within the last year)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Minimum of 6 months of acute care Cardiac Cath Lab Experience
- Bilingual communication abilities
