Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab provides care to patients undergoing elective and emergent invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. Supports the cardiologist during procedures by handling instruments, monitoring patient vitals, and administering medications. Pre-procedure preparation includes explaining the process, obtaining consent, and providing post-procedure care instructions. Continuously monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate records of procedures and patient care. This is a full-time role on a day shift with four 10-hour variant shifts and on-call based on department needs; 30 hours/week is noted in the posting with hourly union pay range.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- BLS/CPR certification
- ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire
- one or more years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing (ideal)
- Training is not available for candidates without this expertise
