Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory for procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly. Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures by operating specialized equipment such as fluoroscopy machines, intravascular ultrasound, or hemodynamic monitoring systems. Monitor patients' vital signs, document data, and report abnormalities promptly. Position, drape, and explain procedures to patients while administering contrast media and medications under physician direction. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Cath Lab equipment, ensure accurate documentation, and adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols. Provide post-procedural care and instructions to patients. Requires 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience, CVT or CRT certification, and BCLS within 30 days. Arkansas RCIS certification required for state-specific roles.
