Job Summary
Perform special and invasive radiology procedures on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety protocols. Prepare patients for exams, administer contrast, position individuals, and select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure technical quality. Monitor patient data entry and perform quality assurance on radiology equipment, including assisting with accreditation applications. Report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management and respond to emergency calls within the department. Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies regarding safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while managing time, supplies, and productivity within budgetary specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions
