Job Summary
Perform special and invasive radiology procedures on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety protocols. Prepare patients for exams, administer contrast, position patients, and select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure technical quality. Enter and monitor patient data while performing quality assurance on radiology equipment. Take emergency calls within the department and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management. Maintain safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards. Assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR accreditation and meet requirements for mandatory continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions
