Job Summary
The Cath Lab Director leads the Cardiovascular Services department at Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, overseeing the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory's administrative, operational, and clinical activities. The role partners with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, nursing leaders, and other departments to optimize patient flow, procedure scheduling, and resource utilization; monitors clinical performance metrics and drives data-driven improvements to patient outcomes and throughput; ensures regulatory compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other bodies; develops staff education programs and leads readiness for surveys and audits; serves as a primary liaison to hospital administration and medical staff; and manages budgeting, strategic planning, and continuous quality initiatives. The position requires an active RN or RCIS license and relevant certifications, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse license or RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist license required
- RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required
- ARRT Radiography Certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography or Vascular Interventional Radiography required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- CCVP - Certified Cardiovascular Catheterization Professional preferred
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required
- Licensure/certification requirements as stated
