Job Summary
Operates, maintains, and applies cardiac catheterization, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures as part of the Catheterization and Electrophysiology Team. Administers drugs and blood products under physician supervision; prepares patients for procedures; monitors patient condition during procedures; educates patients and families on procedures and policies; maintains and cleans cardiac equipment; participates in quality improvement and data reporting; and supports on-call scheduling. Requires BSN and licensure as an Ohio Registered Nurse, with BLS certification and PALS/ACLS to be obtained within 4 months of employment. Four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours) with afterhours/on-call requirements. Location: Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Main Campus, Columbus, OH. Exempt; pay commensurate with experience; $10K signing bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Current Ohio RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- PALS and ACLS certifications required within 4 months of employment
