Job Summary
Catering Supervisor responsible for delivering warm, welcoming guest experiences at catered events, overseeing quality, product levels, inventory, and staff performance; coordinating setup, execution, and breakdown of events; executing back-of-house and front-of-house duties for banquet productivity; interpreting and executing BEOs to high standards; maintaining knowledge of menus, presentation, and techniques; solving problems during events; communicating clearly with staff and clients; ensuring health and safety practices, professionalism, and a clean, organized work environment; supervising staff, managing rental orders and event diagrams, and providing leadership to the catering management team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven leadership abilities in catering or events
- Experience in catering operations and event planning
- Ability to manage and train staff
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in food service
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure during events
- Comfort with physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting up to 35 lbs)
- Familiarity with BEOs and food presentation standards
- Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
