Job Summary
Supervise and manage the Aramark food service operation at Elizabeth City State University. Responsibilities include producing and maintaining work schedules and production records, directing daily activities, ensuring food production meets safety and quality standards, proper storage and serving per menu specifications, maintaining sanitary conditions and compliance with health codes, managing weekly inventory, coordinating vendor orders, driving cost-effective program operations, and supervising and developing employees to enhance efficiency, morale, and teamwork. The role emphasizes leadership, training, operations oversight, inventory control, and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year as a lead
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Minimum Education/Certification - High School Diploma/GED
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
