Job Summary
Conduct solicitation calls, tours, and client entertainment to attain assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores and food and beverage sales goals. Monitor market trends, deliver banquet event orders within ten days, and ensure timely communication of changes to impacted departments. Approach all guest and employee encounters with an attentive, service-oriented manner while adhering to established catering and meeting standards. Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations and assist in implementing special promotions. Manage multiple tasks independently, attend required management meetings, and perform other duties as requested by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge especially Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
- Strong organization and presentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous convention/event and catering sales experience
- Demonstrated creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events
- Experience with professional selling skills: opening probing supporting closing
