Job Summary
Catering Sales Manager responsible for contracting and closing local catering and social business, driving revenue by actively up-selling opportunities, implementing brand service strategies, and delivering service excellence to ensure guest satisfaction. Manages hotel catering sales efforts, collaborates with off-property sales channels, responds to catering opportunities, negotiates contracts, designs and sells catered events, up-sells packages and food/beverage offerings, and provides forecasting and budgetary oversight to achieve revenue goals while maintaining brand standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional
- OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in catering sales or hospitality sales
- Ability to up-sell and close local catering and social business
- Strong negotiation and contract-writing skills
- Customer service excellence and brand standards adherence
- Experience coordinating with multiple sales channels
