Job Summary
Catering Manager responsible for overseeing banquet events and department planning at a convention/conference venue. Manages Banquet events from planning through execution, including Banquet Event Orders, room blocks, VIP coordination, transportation, and coordination with external vendors. Leads event planning meetings with Banquet and A/V teams, develops theming and detailed menus for themed events, and ensures proper execution by supervising the Banquet Manager and support staff. Maintains open communication with all departments to plan special events while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Catering / Convention / Conference Group Management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, facts and prepare valid solutions
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management
