Job Summary
Lead all aspects of catering solutions and special events at Bloomsburg University, developing and completing solutions to meet customer needs while delivering consistent quality in planning and event execution. Manage the catering team to complete delivery requests, train employees on standards, and provide creative solutions for special events. Facilitate prepared food delivery, set up events from banquet orders, and ensure accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, and receivables. Recruit, schedule, and develop team members while maintaining compliance with food, occupational, and environmental safety policies. Execute catering events of varied size and scope, including staffing and management, with availability for event-based hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Available to work event-based hours
- Must have excellent communications skills
- Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Clean driving record and ability to drive company vans, trucks, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
- Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
