Job Summary
Coordinate daily inflight catering delivery operations by performing pre-flight checks, ensuring correct meal counts, and assisting drivers with aircraft loading. Manage flight handovers, produce daily delivery reports, and distribute production worksheets to keep departments updated. Monitor incoming operational communications, control food flow timing to prevent delays, and manage team scheduling to limit overtime. Conduct physical inventory, handle bacterial analysis requests, and ensure spill kits remain updated. Enforce ramp safety protocols by screening driver behavior, verifying vehicle positioning, and reporting immediate risks to senior management. Train new hires on company procedures and evaluate their progress.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience within the airline catering industry
- Qualify for red HAS badge with driver and escort endorsement (pass 10 years federal back ground check and safety and driver classes)
- CDL class A or B with airbrake endorsement is of advantage
- Ramp safety experience
- Awareness of the operational sequences
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Capacity to motivate and train his/her team members
- Planning-, co-ordination and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Availability, staying power and self-assertion
- PC use skills for the principle software packages, e.g. MS Office
- Highly result orientated
- High level of self-organisation
- Flexible work schedules within a 24/7 work environment
- Pass Ramp Safety Training and test
Desired Qualifications
- CDL class A or B with airbrake endorsement is of advantage
