Job Summary

Deliver nutritious meals to community dining sites safely and on time, loading and unloading carriers while maintaining accurate logs and temperature records. Operate and inspect assigned catering box trucks, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations. Support kitchen operations, food prep, sanitation, and inventory as needed, providing friendly service to participants and volunteers. Engage with volunteers by showing appreciation and offering occasional guidance. Maintain a clean driving record and possess the ability to lift 50 lbs. This role supports Silver Key Senior Services' mission to provide nutritious meals and supportive services to older adults, requiring a reliable, safety-focused worker with strong interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Reliable, safety‐focused, and independent worker.
  • Must maintain a current, valid Colorado Driver's License.
  • Must maintain the state issued minimum automotive liability insurance coverage.
  • Must observe and obey all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, criminal background checks, and a motor vehicle records review.
  • Business-specific knowledge: Knowledge of Silver Key Senior Services mission statement, policies/procedures, business-specific software and safety regulations.
  • This position does require a background check by Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS).

Desired Qualifications

  • Food service or delivery experience preferred.
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience driving a box truck is a plus.
  • One or more months of transportation experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Senior Citizens preferred.
  • Experience handling money, such as donations, is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast moving and constantly changing environment.
  • Strong computer skills including use of web browsers and the internet.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
