Job Summary
Catering Sales Manager at Aspen Meadows Resort drives revenue by selling and coordinating weddings, day meetings, and assigned meeting territories. Responsible for planning, selling, and coordinating details to achieve revenue goals, preparing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and maximizing revenue through upselling of food, beverage, room rental, recreation, and amenities. Acts as on-site contact for meetings and events, conducts follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction, and supports the Director of Sales & Marketing with special projects. Requires effective communication, strong sales aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, with a preference for 3 years of related hotel or hospitality experience. Collaborates with operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless events and client satisfaction, and maintains accurate billing, contracts, and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Salamander Hotels & Resorts Standards, as required by scheduling.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage pricing, proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage items.
- Extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual and any other pertinent details as they relate to function room set-up.
- Knowledge of resort and competitive market.
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Amadeus-Delphi.
- Excellent interpersonal and sales-related skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
