Job Summary
Lead and oversee Catering staff in all aspects of live events, including preparation, execution, and post-event follow-up. Conduct pre-meal meetings to align on critical information and expectations, while reinforcing accountability and upholding service standards, health and safety compliance, and the Nova Scotia Food Permit. Manage team performance through ongoing training, coaching, and constructive feedback, ensuring adherence to the Nova Scotia Liquor Controls Act and operational guidelines. Coordinate with the Culinary team and event activities to deliver food and beverage products meeting individual dietary restrictions. Perform inventory audits, maintain staffing levels using Ratio Guidelines, and resolve guest concerns within the scope of authority. Shifts can be up to 12 hours in length and occur in mornings, days, evenings, late nights, on weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience as a supervisor in a high-volume restaurant or banquet facility
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Demonstrated experience in delivering service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Shifts can be up to 12 hours in length and occur in the mornings, days, evenings, late nights, on weekends, and holidays
