Job Summary
Performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in one or more food service environments. Sets up food service areas and equipment, transfers food and supplies from main kitchen to serving sites, maintains proper temperatures, prepares or assists in preparing hot and cold dishes, serves items to customers, replenishes stations, and ensures cleanliness and safety. Follows prescribed procedures for setup, handling of utensils, and maintaining quality standards; lifts and moves heavy objects and works with equipment as needed. Requires ability to read and follow instructions, maintain inventory, and uphold safety procedures while delivering customer-focused service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Food service experience 2-3 years required
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to read and write
- Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements
- Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods
- Safety procedures compliance
