Job Summary
The Catering Associate performs a variety of tasks in a restaurant and kitchen environment. Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning dining areas, relaying orders to the kitchen, serving food, preparing food, and handling cash as needed. Candidates must follow safety regulations, exhibit good workplace conduct, and support the Village mission and values. Essential qualifications include being at least 16 years old, obtaining a Food Handler Permit, and possessing beginner knowledge of cash handling.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must obtain current Food Handler Permit within 15 days of start date
- Beginner level knowledge of cash handling and cash register operation
- Ability to work with a large group of residents/customers
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Ability to perform tasting and/or smelling
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straight-forward written or oral instructions
