Job Summary
Assist in the preparation, serving, and cleaning of meals for residents in accordance with dietary requirements and food hygiene regulations. Support the catering team with tasks such as chopping vegetables, washing crockery, receiving deliveries, and maintaining a tidy kitchen and dining area. Ensure all work follows health and safety policies, including correct waste disposal and infection control, while providing friendly service to residents. Work flexible shifts between 07:00 and 20:00, often including weekends, in a new purpose-built building.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in catering, hospitality, or a similar role
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable
- Organized
- Able to work under pressure during busy meal times
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for bank holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
- Experience in a care or healthcare setting
