Job Summary
Catering and Events Manager to oversee catering operations and events in a high-volume corporate hospitality environment in Vancouver, BC, including supervising staff, coordinating with culinary/service/facilities teams, managing event logistics and client interactions, ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance, assisting with menu planning and dietary needs, training and mentoring hospitality staff, and supporting operations across multiple dining spaces and outlets.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in hospitality, catering, or event management within a high-volume or multi-outlet environment
- Proven ability to coordinate complex events and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Strong client service orientation, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience supervising, training, and motivating diverse teams
- Solid understanding of event logistics, banquet operations, and hospitality best practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with event management or catering software is an asset
- Commitment to guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and a collaborative team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, minimal weekends, and extended hours as required by event schedules
