Job Summary
Provide food, beverages, and equipment for special events by gathering supplies, transporting items, setting up service areas, and assisting with post-event clean-up. Monitor and maintain quality control of food and equipment while restocking supplies and sanitizing food service areas. Operate cold and hot holding equipment, beverage machines, ovens, and dish washing machines, following standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines. Display strong customer service skills, effective communication with supervisors and staff, and the ability to work independently under stressful conditions. Demonstrate physical stamina to remain on feet for most of the day and walk long distances.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to perform basic math
- Possesses ability to work independently when necessary
- Possesses an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
- Demonstrates ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances
- Depending upon location applying for, a minimum of two years experience in a catering environment
- Depending on location, may be required to have a current valid driver's license and meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Preferably, displays experience working in the food industry
