Job Summary
Category Specialist (Procurement) responsible for delivering a customer-focused procurement function, developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and terms, leading monthly supplier performance reviews, conducting market analysis to identify trends and risks, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements, and mentoring junior purchasing staff while supporting continuous improvement and engineering change/NPI activities.
Required Qualifications
- MCIPS Qualified & Certified
- HND or equivalent
- Knowledge of Oracle based management system
- Extensive experience in a Material control role
- Good understanding of MRP and other material planning systems
- Project management skills
