Job Summary
Category Specialist in ICT procurement: responsible for delivering medium- to low-complexity category plans, developing sourcing strategies, analysing data, negotiating contracts, and leading cross-functional projects within the SJGHC procurement team. Works with IT, clinical, and corporate stakeholders to optimise supplier performance, manage vendor relationships, and resolve supplier issues. Focuses on ICT investments across software, hardware, telecommunications, and managed services, driving cost efficiencies, ensuring service continuity, regulatory alignment, and risk management while delivering measurable value. Includes RFx preparation, contract support, KPI reporting, and ensuring compliance with SJGHC policy and probity requirements. The role embraces a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment with flexible work options (minimum 3 days per week in the office) from Perth or Melbourne offices.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement or Category Management
- experience with ICT procurement
- experience working in a medium to large organisation (healthcare sector preferred)
- strong negotiation and influencing skills
- ability to engage with senior executives and stakeholders
