Job Summary
Category Specialist for CAPEX & Facilities Management leads development and execution of category plans, RFx processes, and supplier governance to optimize value, quality, and risk in healthcare procurement. Responsible for negotiating contracts, tracking KPI benefits, ensuring compliance with SJGHC policies and probity requirements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver cost savings and sustainable supplier performance across Perth and Melbourne sites. Must demonstrate experience across CAPEX and facilities procurement, strong commercial and negotiation skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a complex multi-site environment.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement or Category Management
- experience in CAPEX and Facilities Management procurement
- experience in healthcare sector is preferred
- strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- stakeholder engagement across senior executives, clinical stakeholders, and suppliers
- ability to deliver category plans in a multi-site, fast-paced environment
- knowledge of RFx processes, market analysis, and data-driven decision making
